A FAST growing communications company has made four key appointments and has moved to bigger offices as it continues to grow.

LEC Consultancy Limited was launched by former journalist and PR and marketing manager Leanne English in 2012 and now works with some of the region’s biggest companies.

After undergoing a period of major expansion, Alan Sawyers has joined the team as Head of Marketing and Design while former Hartlepool Mail journalist Felicity Collinson is the company’s new Account Manager. In addition, Hayley Matthews has come on board as Administration and Finance Officer and Courtney Million is undertaking a marketing and design apprenticeship, working under the guidance of the team.

To support the recruitment drive, LEC Consultancy has moved into bigger offices within Novus Business Centre in Peterlee, the third office space the company has occupied since it relocated into the facility in October 2014.

Leanne, 34, said: “Over the last 12 months the business has grown rapidly and we have added to our portfolio with several new clients across a number of sectors.

“To ensure we continue to deliver the best results for clients and maintain the overall growth of the business, we had to expand the team and the people we’ve recruited will enable me to take the business to the next level.

“We’ve also enhanced our overall service offering which means we are now a fully integrated communications consultancy, offering clients everything from media profiling, stakeholder engagement and internal communications to marketing support, design, video production and website development.

“I am so proud of how LEC Consultancy has grown. When I started out I really didn’t expect that within three years I’d be employing four people. Now I see no reason why our workforce won’t exceed 10 by the end of 2016, which is a fantastic achievement for a business that was started from nothing.”

LEC Consultancy has an extensive portfolio which includes NSK Bearings, Mecaplast, TRW, MetroMail, Astley, The AMA Group, Peterlee Business Park, Durham Oktoberfest and East Durham Business Service.
