A business support organisation is encouraging firms in the area to take advantage of its meeting space as social distancing remains in place.
East Durham Business Service, which manages Novus Busines Centre in Peterlee, has several rooms available for external hire.
They include a boardroom, which could accommodate up to 15 people observing the one-metre social distancing guidelines, and a training room on the first floor which can comfortably seat 25.
There are also meeting rooms available for smaller sessions.
As an incentive the organisation is also offering discounts on bulk bookings as it looks to make the most of the space it has available.
Operations Director at East Durham Business Service, Denise Fielding, said: “We know that because of the coronavirus pandemic, the way people work has changed, and many people are continuing to be based from home either full or part time.
“Virtual meetings are commonplace and will remain that way for some time to come, however, from speaking to local businesspeople we know there is an appetite for face to face meetings where possible.
“Our space offers this option on a flexible basis, whilst giving people the peace of mind that socially distanced rules can be observed.
“The rooms we have available can be used for one to one meetings, or on a larger scale for gatherings of up to 25 people, so for anyone keen to begin face to face engagement we would urge them to come and have a look at our facilities.”
