Based at Novus Business Centre in Peterlee, with a second incubation facility at Seaham, EDBS provides support and advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and established businesses in a range of areas including planning, marketing and apprenticeships. The team also offers guidance on the funding opportunities available to help you develop your ideas.
Quite simply, if you are thinking of starting your own business; are looking to develop your existing business; want employ an apprentice; or find new premises within East Durham, EDBS can help.
In addition, we work in conjunction with Durham County Council on their DurhamWorks initiative – helping young people to get on the career ladder.

We have Novus Business Centres in Peterlee and Seaham and offer everything from meeting room hire and virtual offices to serviced business space with easy-in easy-out terms.
NEW BUSINESS STARTUP ADVICE
Our dedicated business advisor works with individuals in the East Durham area who are looking to start their own business. From writing business plans to managing finances, registering a business name to marketing and advertising… we can get you on the right path.
YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT
We are a proud partner of DurhamWorks – a Youth Employment Initiative led by Durham County Council. The project aims to increase the participation of young people aged 16-24 living in County Durham who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).
Together, the EDBS team provides invaluable business advice, one-to-one mentoring sessions and NEET employment support, as well as delivering informative workshops and running the day to day operations at our Novus Business Centres in Peterlee and Seaham…
