European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
The Business Support in the North East project is being part financed by the European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007-13. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the managing authority for the European Regional Development Fund Programme, which is one of the funds established by the European Commission to help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support local businesses and create jobs.
For more information visit www.communities.gov.uk/erdf. Working in a consortium led by North East Enterprise Agencies Ltd (NEEAL) local Enterprise and Development Agencies in the North East have matched this ERDF investment with £1.07m of their own funds.
New Enterprise Allowance Funding

New Enterprise Allowance can provide money and support to help you start your own business if you’re getting certain benefits.
You must be aged 18 or over, have a business idea and get one of the following benefits: Jobseeker’s Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support. You may also be eligible if you get Universal Credit.
New Enterprise Allowance is part funded by the European Social Fund.
